Chiang Mai is a famous tourist destination in Thailand. Chiang Mai is a beautiful city located in the north of Thailand. Due to its mild climate, Chiang Mai is not wrongly called the Queen of Kohsar of Thailand.

A beautiful blend of ancient and modern culture, rich in natural beauty, this city is located in the north at a distance of seven hundred kilometers from Bangkok. It takes 50 minutes to fly from Bangkok to Chiang Mai. It takes 10 hours by road. Being situated at a height of 1000 feet above the sea level, the weather of this city is pleasant throughout most of the year.


It is for this reason that apart from local tourists, millions of foreign tourists visit Chiang Mai every year. Chiang Mai's climate and fertile soil make the city a magnificent garden full of colorful flowers and beautiful plants. 


Spread over a valley of green and towering mountains, the views of this city are mesmerizing as well as amazing. The people here are close to innovation despite having a simple lifestyle. A blend of modern and ancient culture, this city is a great example of human management along with natural masterpieces.


Chiang Mai is a city of historical importance. This city holds special importance for the followers of Buddhism. There are well over three hundred Buddhist temples in and around the city, some of which are several hundred years old. Chiang Mai also has a Buddhist temple on a beautiful mountain of historical importance. 

This temple is seven hundred years old and has been extended and repaired in different periods. 306 steps have to be climbed to reach this temple located on the top of the mountain. A cable lift has also been installed here for the convenience of tourists. A view of the city can be seen from the rear of the outer premises of the temple.


From a height of 3,500 feet, the city of Jiang Mai looks like a bowl-shaped valley stretching as far as the eye can see. Unforgettable views of the river running through the city like a fine line and the fertility of the city are in front of you. The streets of Chiang Mai city are wide and very clean, lined with beautiful houses, shops, and shopping centers. 

Traffic is highly regulated. Despite the large number of vehicles, the roads are not crowded or have long queues. Pedestrians are given the right of way first. The air of the city is completely free from pollution. The natives here speak in a very soft and low voice.


Numerous Muslims also live in this city who migrated from Burma, China, India, and Pakistan and settled here. That's why Halal food restaurants are easy to find. Chiang Mai Zoological Garden is the city's great amusement park. 


It was established in 1974 by an American missionary who came to Thailand. He used to take care of animals injured by hunters here. Many animals would have recovered and turned to the forest, but the animals that were familiar with humans would have stayed here, due to which the place gradually took the form of a zoo. Chiang Mai Zoo is built on a beautiful mountain slope.


Where hundreds of types of flowers are planted on the natural slopes. Although this zoo is petite in terms of area, it houses some of the world's rarest animals and birds. This zoo also has a massive aquarium. Visitors can enjoy thousands of fish swimming around them while traveling on foot or in an automated elevator in a transparent tunnel-like tube.

Chiang Mai is a city of artisans and craftsmen. The manufacture and sale of handicrafts has become a regular industry. Wax umbrellas made of bamboo and paper are also considered a Chiang Mai culture abroad. 


There are big shopping centers in Chiang Mai, but the night market here has its beauty. Every night market in the city is incomplete without a visit. The preparations for setting up this market are started from five in the evening and the market remains open until twelve at night. Most of the shopkeepers are women.


Jewelry, clothes, handbags, wooden decoration pieces, various toys and countless other items are found in this bazaar at about two hundred stalls. Food stalls are also set up around this market. There are many Indian and Pakistani restaurants around the nightclub. Chiang Mai Night Safari is a unique source of entertainment. 


Spread over an area of ​​131 acres, the government manages this safari park. This area is included in the National Park here, where thousands of varieties of autoflowering plants are showing their spring.

Through day and night safari, you can see birds, cattle, and even carnivorous wild animals roaming freely in their natural environment. There is a tram service in the safari park. Tourists take a special tram train to visit the safari park. Giraffes, zebras, kangaroos, deer, two-humped camels, white rhinos, yaks, and mammals found in different regions of the world are found here in their natural environment in vast enclosures.
